2.6.1 Installing pump tubing
1. To install pump tubing into the 100 or 300-series pumps, open the
pump head by lifting up on the upper curved section of the cover.
2. Lay the tubing into the pump over the driver (Figure 2.11).
3. Close the pump by bringing the top of the pump head down and
pressing firmly so it snaps closed.

4. Close the pump by bringing the top of the pump head down and
pressing firmly so it snaps closed.
5. Jog the pump by pressing the jog button next to the pump to feed
the tubing through the pump.
Notes:
•
The 500-series pump requires that the tubing be fed in from the
side (Figure 2.12).
•
Pumps should be calibrated before use. Use the same tubing
in calibration as will be used in the process. Otherwise,
errors in delivery volume may occur. See the appropriate
TruBio Bioprocess Control Software Version 5.0 User's Guide
(DOC0088).
•
Ensure the tubing is not in danger of being kinked or occluded
by other equipment.
