Installing a New Backup File to the Autosampler

Use one of the following two methods to install the column switch option:
Installing a New Backup File to the Autosampler
Installing Special Objects to the Autosampler
Note If you install the new backup file, you must teach all positions again. If you choose
to install the special objects instead of the new backup file, you don't need to teach all
positions again, but you must manually install all new objects. The new backup file
installs these new objects for you.
IMPORTANT If you use this method, you must teach all positions again.
To install a new backup file, follow these procedures:

Reading Out and Recording the Serial Number
2.
Installing Option from the Backup File
3.
Re-entering the Serial Number
Before installing the new backup file, you must read out and record the existing serial number
on the control terminal (hand-held controller) of the Accela Open Autosampler.
To read out the serial number
1. Choose Menu > F3-Setup > Ident > System SNo.
2. Read out the serial number and record it for later use.
To install option from the backup file
1. On the CD that comes with the column switch kit, locate the following files:
For Firmware 4.1.2, go to drive:\Backup\Firmware 4.1.2\

10-port valve option
