Example sequence of first commissioning
Description
Information about installation and mounting of the PCU 50.5 is provided in the
SINUMERIK 840D sl Operator Components and Networking Manual
Operator panels .
You must choose an installation type before switching on the PCU 50.5 for the first time:
Configure an answer file and complete installation and user settings unattended

(Page 17).
Connect screen (Page 25) and complete installation attended (Page 16), at the
•
same time set up users.
Do not switch on the PCU without the answer file (Page 17) if you want installation to be
performed unattended.
To be able to access a directory of a PG/PC in the network, for example, connect the
PG/PC in the network (Page 71).
