Pinpoint Tests
Test
1 Check switch integrity:
- Check the switch for sticking
2 Check cable and terminal integrity:
- Chassis ECM pin B19
- Chassis ECM pin B20
- Switch pin 1
- Switch pin 2
- Switch pin 3
3 Check cable for short circuit:
- Chassis ECM pin B19 to ground
- Chassis ECM pin B20 to ground
4 Check cable continuity:
- Chassis ECM pin B19 to switch pin 1
- Chassis ECM pin B20 to switch pin 3
- Switch pin 2 to ground
5 Check cable for short circuit:
- Chassis ECM pin B19 to Chassis
ECM pin B20
6 Reconnect harness, clear fault code
and run engine to verify fault cleared

Locate and rectify wiring fault, proceed
to test 6
Action complete - quit test
