Rear wheel sensor incorrect or
missing signal
Pinpoint Tests
Test

Measure the air gap of the rear wheel
speed sensor between the sensor and
the pulser ring:
- Air gap between 0.1 mm to 1.5 mm

Check the pulser ring for damage or
contamination by road grime or
ferrous metal filings

Check the wheel speed sensors for
correct installation, and the fixings for
correct torque

Check the wheel speed sensor circuit
(see Rear Wheel Sensor Open
Circuit/Short Circuit)

Clear fault code and test ABS to verify
fault cleared

proceed to test 5
Proceed to test 4
Rectify the fault and proceed to test 5
Contact Triumph service
Rectify the fault and proceed to test 5
Action complete - quit test
Contact Triumph service

Ensure ABS ECM connector is
secure
Proceed to pinpoint test 1:
