StorageTek's L-Series Library Admin
The L-Series Library Admin is an optional Web-based interface to the L180
library. Customers must order the L-Series Library Admin separately from the
library. For the L180 library, they must order Model HRZN-002 with feature
code LS3x.
The L-Series Library Admin lets a library's users configure, operate, and monitor
the library through a workstation or PC that is running a Netscape or Internet
Explorer browser. The monitor must first be enabled and configured on the
library.
Installation and configuration instructions appear in
documentation that ships with the L-Series Library Admin components.

Other Interfaces and Connections

The library features three operator interfaces:
• An operator panel that communicates library status, configuration,
diagnostic sequences, and fault symptom code (FSC) information.
The operator panel provides menus for running diagnostic tests and for
examining the 20 most recent library events. The FSC information will help
you troubleshoot should a component fail.
• An Ethernet cable that allows the customer to use the Simple Network
Management Protocol (SNMP) for remote access to the library. See
Appendix D
• A CSE Port that lets you download microcode to the library. See
Appendix B
