Preparing the Subsystem
This chapter describes how to place cartridges into the library and how to
check the subsystem before placing the library into operation.

Installing Diagnostic and Cleaning Cartridges

You must place diagnostic cartridges in the library before operation. If the
customer wishes to enable the Auto Clean function, you also need to place
cleaning cartridges in the library.
CAUTION:
Potential system degradation: Make sure the customer's software
supports the Auto Clean option. Auto Clean is automatically configured
when at least one cleaning cartridge is placed in the reserved area and
the library is reset.
