LTO Cartridges and Labels

The advantage of the LTO specification is that any LTO data cartridge can work
in any LTO tape drive; however, use only the drive manufacturer's cleaning
cartridge to clean an LTO drive.
The Ultrium tape format is an implementation of the LTO (Linear Tape-Open)
technology that is optimized for high capacity and performance with
exceptional reliability in either a stand-alone or an automated environment.
LTO Ultrium tapes use a single reel cartridge to maximize capacity that makes
them ideal for backup, restore, and archive applications.
The LTO cartridge tape supports a wide range of applications with four
different cartridge capacities (10, 30, 50, and 100 GB).
Note: Only the 100GB capacity is currently available from StorageTek.
