Entering Configuration Data
Use the same procedure to complete the library's four network entries:
1. At the Main Configuration Menu, press the down arrow to line up the cursor
with NETWORK CONFIG.
2. At the Network Config Menu, press the
cursor up with each entry:

Note: You only need to configure DNS if the SNMP agent is set to trap
Library Name
The library name is strictly a local convention. It is mapped to the IP address
and does not affect operation. The library name is assigned by the system
administrator.
IP Address
A four-byte Internet Protocol (IP) address must be set by the system
administrator. The value identifies the library and makes it accessible through a
network. An example of an IP address entry is

Description
The systems administrator might assign a library name
that is mapped to the IP address.
Do not enter a library name longer than 30 characters.
For the customer to be able to use the L-Series Library
Admin, you must set the IP address.
Entering this address is optional. It serves to indicate
the gateway connection between subnets.
The systems administrator might assign the library a
subnet mask address if one is required.
