Placing the Library Online
After you have completed the installation, tested the library and tape drives, and
connected the subsystem to the customers interface, it is now time to place the
library online for the customer to use.
When the customer is ready to use the library, request that the operator enter
the system command to place all drives and the library online.
Next, the operator should enter the command to load the audit data from the
library to the client system.
1. Make sure the operator has a copy of the L180 Tape Library Operator
Guide.
2. Refer to the operator guide for instructions about operating the library.
3. Complete the information on the following page and give it to the customer.
This information will be helpful in the event something goes wrong.
