Entering Configuration Data

The following pages describe the operator panel and provide steps for entering
configuration information through it.
CAUTION:
Potential system degradation: Make sure that the library and associated
drives are offline to the system before you start configuration.
After you power-on or reset the library, the library performs an IPL. When the
IPL is complete, the operator panel displays an initial status screen. Once you
see this screen, you can begin entering configuration data through the
operator's panel.
StorageTek recommends that you enter the configuration data in the following
sequence (as presented in this manual):
1. Library configuration
2. Network configuration
3. Drive configuration
4. Display information (if necessary)
5. Cleaning cartridge warning count (if Auto Clean is enabled)
