Other Diagnostic Tests

You might want to run other diagnostic tests. Here are descriptions of the other
functions that appear on diagnostic menus:

This function is not a diagnostic test. It mounts a specified
cleaning cartridge to a drive, initiates drive cleaning, and
dismounts the cleaning cartridge.
Note: The Clean Drive routine does not require the library
to be offline. Make sure to instruct the operator how to run
this routine
This test mounts a diagnostic tape to a selected drive.
This test dismounts a diagnostic tape from a selected drive.
This test will determine whether the specified drive is
functioning. At the time of publication, the only drives that
support this test are the DLT 8000 and the T9840.
(The T9840 must be running code version 1.28 or later.)
This test starts a Get-Put Loop with customer cartridges to
simulate machine operation. See the following caution.
