Testing the Modem

To test the modem configuration:
1. Set the modem to go off-hook in answer mode; on some modems this is
done by a switch setting.
2. Open the rear door of the library.
3. Connect the CCITT cable from the modem to the phone jack on the top of
the MPC card.
Note: If your modem has a DTR indicator, this indicator will turn on.
4. Dial into the modem.
5. Enter \J0 to disable rate adjust.
6. When connected, enter P. The diagnostic menu will appear.
7. When you are done, exit the menu.
8. Enter ++++ and wait for the message of OK.
9. Enter ATH, and then press <
