Library Admin
StorageTek's L-Series Library Admin is an optional software product that resides
internally in the library and is activated by using a Web browser. This product
provides a Web-based, graphical user interface (GUI) that enables customers to
monitor and perform library operations remotely.
Some of the features of Library Admin include the ability to:
• Get a virtual view of the library's cells
• Load microcode
• Generate useful reports about the library, drives, FSCs, and media
• Obtain valuable statistics about the library, drive, cells, and cleaning
cartridge
• View and modify the configuration for the library, drives, and network
• Set the cleaning cartridge threshold
• Enable SNMP and add trap recipients (see
information)

Requirements

Before installing the L-Series Library Admin, verify that the following
requirements are met:
• Minimum system requirements:

• Library Microcode is at level 2.20.00 or higher.
• Ethernet connection to the library
• Have ordered and received a "Library Personality Module" which is used to
enable the optional Library Admin feature.
• Have either Netscape Navigator 4.5 or later or
Internet Explorer 5.0 or later browser installed.
• Java™ Plug-in Software 1.4 or later.
