Downloading Application Software

To back up the current configuration to a TFTP server, use the following
command:
#copy startup-config tftp <filename_opt_path> <tftp-server>
You can download new application software from a TFTP server to an APP
memory location by using either the Web agent or the CLI.
When upgrading the switch to v6.0 application software, you must
download v6.0 to the APP2 memory location. If you download v6.0 to
APP1, and store an earlier version software in APP2, the 6.0
software is corrupted. Once v6.0 software is successfully stored in
APP2, you can, however, download v6.0 to APP1.
To download new application software from a TFTP server to an APP
memory location by using the Web Agent:
* Note: The switch does not support Exceed TFTP server software.
1. In the navigation pane, expand the System > Configuration > TFTP
Update folders.
2. Select System.
The System TFTP Update Web page is displayed in the content pane
(Figure
