3. Service Program Functions

NOTE: When in SP modes 1 though 12, the currently selected choice is shown in
reverse video. To activate the function select SET.
1-1 Triboelectrification (TRIB)

<Operation> Press the Start key to operate the machine and press

1-4 Beeper Off (BTOF)
<Function>
Turns on the Development motor to build up the static
charge on both the toner particles and the carrier.
Press the Start key to turn on the motors. Press the
Clear/Stop key to stop.
This function must be performed only after the machine
has reached a ready condition.
This function is automatically reset when the service
program mode is cancelled.
Locates the first copy paper misfeed.
One of the LEDs on the misfeed monitor blinks to indi-
cate the position.
Operates the machine without feeding paper for general
function checks, drum conditioning, etc.
