Remove the shipping retainers in the optics section as follows:
a)
Raise the DF transport unit, and remove the front cover [A] of the
DF (2 screws).
b)
Remove the front top cover [B] (3 screws).
c)
Loosen the two rear scale screws [C], and remove the exposure glass
fixing bracket [D] (1 screw).
d)
Remove the exposure glass [E].
e)
Remove the first and second scanner fixing bracket [F] (1 screw).
f)
Slide the first and second scanners to the left, then remove the
lens fixing stud [G].

Reassemble the optics assembly.
