MECHANICAL OPERATION

Copy paper exits from the copier and enters the first sorter. If the first
sorter is full, the paper exits through the 20th bin position and enters the
sorter connector unit, which transports the copy to the second sorter.
The motor of the sorter connector unit (SCU) turns on when the timing sensor
of the first sorter detects the first copy which is to be sorted or stacked
after the copy exits.
