3. Pressure Mylar Release

The pressure mylar presses the originals down against the pick-up rollers to
provide the friction necessary for smooth feeding.
When the copier is in stand-by mode, the pressure release cam presses up
the pressure mylar lever to release the downward pressure and allow easy in-
sertion of originals.
and the flat side faces up during stand-by to allow easy insertion of origi-
nals. The heart-shaped cam on the first pick-up roller and the pressure cam
lever assure that the flat surface faces up.
When the pick-up rollers start turning, the pressure release cam turns and al-
lows the pressure mylar to press against the originals.
In addition, the pick-up rollers are flat on one side,
