Clean, correct, and/or replace any parts which scratch the
hot roller. If the hot roller strippers are badly stained
with toner, check and readjust the fusing temperature.
Then, replace the hot roller.
Is the drum scratched?

Follow troubleshooting section "Uneven Density 1) Uneven
density appears in bands"?
Are there any foreign substances around the drum that may
cause leaking of the drum potential?

o Clean the edge of the cleaning blade, and check that
o Clean all seals.
Remove the foreign substances.
Correct or replace any parts scratching the drum surface.
o Cleaning entrance seal–-wavy, bent, burrs
o Cleaning brush
o Brush seals which contact the drum
3) Fuzzy line(s) or bands(s)
Clean the charge, transfer, and PTC corona wires.
Clean all brush seals that contact the drum.
the movement of the blade cleaner is smooth and the
cleaner edge is straight.
