Service call Sorter with Stapler
o Stapler Inhibition
1.
The staple unit motor takes more than 0.7 seconds (1.9 seconds in Staple
Unit Lowering Mode; DIP SW 100-1 on) to lower the staple unit to the
next bin.
2.
The staple unit motor takes more than 2.0 seconds to raise the staple
unit to the next bin.
3.
The gripper motor takes more than 1.0 second to move the grippers from
the home position to the forward end and vice versa.
4.
The stapler motor takes more than 0.7 second for one staple cycle.

5.
The jog motor takes more than 1.0 second for one jog cycle. (from HP to
HP)
o Sorter Inhibition
If the side plate motor takes more than 1.7 second to move the side plate
from one paper size position to the next.
When the staple mode is canceled and the sort mode is selected, does the
service call condition still turn on?

o Correct the drive mechanism of the side plate.
Disconnect the side plate motor connector. Turn on the main switch and
manually move the side plate motor shaft.

Does +24 volts flow from CN130-18B to TP100 (GND) on the sorter stapler
main board?
