2. Two-Sided Original Feed

- Feed-in -
The basic feed-in operation in this mode is exactly the same as that in the
single sided original feed mode.
- Inversion -
After the first side of the original is copied, the inversion signal is supplied
by the copier. The belt motor and inverter motor then turn on, and the in-
verter gate solenoid is energized to lower the inverter gate pawls.

The belt motor reverses just before the trailing edge of the original passes
the inverter entrance sensor, but the inverter motor continues to drive the
original through the inverter section. When the leading edge of the original
reaches the transport belt, the belt feeds the original back to the exposure
glass.
Shortly after the inverter registration sensor is activated, the belt motor
turns off and the original is stopped at the correct position. When the in-
verter registration sensor is deactuated, the inverter motor turns off.
