6. Duplex Paper Feed

The duplex paper
feed trays. Only
The friction rollers are mounted on a one-way clutch. A crank mechanism
turns the friction rollers slightly each time the bottom plate moves down.
This prevents uneven wear of the friction roller surface.
The pressure wires hold down long sheets of paper to ensure that they are
straight between the guide plates, because they tend to curl after passing
through the fusing unit.
When the left cover is raised, the release mechanism lifts the pressure wires
to avoid paper damage.
