5. Bottom Plate Pressure Clutch Disassembly

Remove the duplex tray and the duplex tray rear top cover (2 screws, 3

twist clamps).
2. Remove the pressure arm [A] spring [B], (1 screw), and release the chain
tensioner [C] (1 spring).
3. Remove the bottom plate pressure clutch assembly [D] complete with the
bracket [E] (3 screws and 2 connectors).
Loosen the clutch Allen screw and slide out the clutch shaft [F].

5. Disassemble the clutch.
6. Clean the clutch cam [H], clutch spring, clutch sleeve [J], and clutch
drive sprocket.
7. Reassemble the pressure clutch assembly, but do not tighten the Allen
screw.
8. Turn the duplex drive gear clockwise until the stopper [K] on the clutch
sleeve contacts the actuator [L] of the bottom plate solenoid.
9. While inserting a 0.2 mm thickness gauge [M] in the position shown, push
the clutch shaft from the inside of the tray and tighten the Allen
screw.

Grease the clutch spring with Mobil Temp 78.
