MECHANICAL OPERATION

1. Transport Section

- Overview -
The transport section consists of the transport rollers and the guide plate.
When the Start key is pressed, the sorter stapler motor turns on, and the six
rollers tabulated below start turning.

The timing sensor [C], located at the center of the guide plate,

detects the leading edge of each copy. The CPU uses this time data to
control the bin gate solenoid on/off timing.
- Speed up -
The transport rollers gradually increase speed between the copier exit and
the turn gate section as follows:
