EXPOSURE

1. Introduction

The optics assembly reflects an image of the original on the exposure glass
onto the selenium drum to form a latent electrical
during the copy cycle.
- Optical Components -
First Scanner:
Second Scanner: Second Mirror and Third Mirror
Optical Cavity:
The light intensity of the exposure lamp is kept stable by the lamp regula-
tor.
The toner shield glass prevents toner from the development unit and silicone
oil vapors from the fusing unit from entering the optics cavity. The optics
cooling fan prevents hot air from building up in the optics cavity during the
copy cycle.
The anticondensation heater prevents moisture from forming on the optical
components when the main switch is off.
thermoswitch (TS-2), which turns on at 17°C and turns off at 25°C.
