7. Fusing Pressure Adjustment

ADJUSTMENT STANDARD:
1. Disconnect the sorter from the copier.
2. Make a black copy (sky shot) using A3/LDG copy paper.
3. As soon as the paper starts to exit, open the left door to stop the
paper in the fusing unit.
4. Wait about 20 seconds, then turn the pressure cam shaft [A] clockwise
until it locks (about 90°) to release the pressure between the hot roller
and the pressure roller. Then, manually remove the black copy
machine.
5. Measure the nip band width (the shiny band) at both ends.
Nip Band Width: 8.5 ± 0.8 mm (The difference
between front and rear measurements should
be less than 0.4 mm.)
