HYDRAULIC BRAKE
INSTALLATION
Install the master cylinder and the holder with the
"UP" mark facing up.
Align the edge of the master cylinder with the
punch mark on the handlebar and tighten the upper
bolt first, then tighten the lower bolt to the specified
torque.
TORQUE: 12 N·m (1.2 kgf·m, 9 lbf·ft)
Connect the brake light switch connectors.
Connect the brake hose to the master cylinder with
the oil bolt and new sealing washers.
Tighten the brake hose oil bolt to the specified
torque while setting the hose joint against the stop-
per on the master cylinder.
TORQUE: 34 N·m (3.5 kgf·m, 25 lbf·ft)
Fill brake fluid and bleed air the front brake line
hydraulic system (page 17-8).
Install the following:
– front upper cover (page 3-9)
– front handlebar cover (page 3-14)
– rear handlebar cover (page 3-14)
