FRONT WHEEL/SUSPENSION/STEERING
Install the rebound spring to the fork piston, then
install them into the fork pipe.
Install the oil lock piece to the fork piston end.
Install the fork pipe assembly into the bottom case.
Hold the bottom case in a vise with soft jaws or
shop towels.
Apply locking agent to the fork socket bolt threads.
Install the socket bolt with a new sealing washer
into the fork piston.
Tighten the fork socket bolt to the specified torque.
If the fork piston
turns with the
TORQUE: 20 N·m (2.0 kgf·m, 15 lbf·ft)
socket bolt, tempo-
rarily install the fork
spring and spring
seat.
Drive the oil seal until the stopper ring groove is vis-
ible using a special tools.
