ALTERNATOR/STARTER CLUTCH
Align the groove on the oil pump bolt with the index
mark on the oil pump cover while aligning the tab
on the water pump shaft with the cutout on the case
as shown.
Install the right crankcase cover by aligning the oil
The right crank-
pump shaft groove with the water pump shaft tab.
case cover (stator)
is magnetically
attracted to the fly-
wheel, be careful
during installation.
Install and tighten the ten bolts in a crisscross pat-
tern in 2 or 3 steps.
Connect the bypass hose to the water pump cover.
Connect the lower radiator hose to the water pump
cover and tighten the hose band screw.
