• Before starting the inspection, check for loose or
poor contact on the O
recheck the DTC.

Sensor Line Open Circuit Inspection

Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect the ECM 33P connector and O
sor cap connector.
Check the continuity between the ECM 33P con-
nector of the wire harness side and O
cap connector of the wire harness side.
Connection: Black/Orange – No. 3

Test probe
Are there continuity?
YES
NO

Sensor Line Short Circuit Inspection

Disconnect the ECM 33P connector.
Check for continuity between the ECM 33P con-
nector of the wire harness side and ground.
Connection: No. 3 (Black/orange) – Ground

Is there continuity?
YES
NO

Sensor Inspection

Replace the O
(page 6-76) and clear the DTC.
Reset the ECM (page 6-12).
Start the engine and warm the engine up to cool-
ant temperature is 80 °C (176 °C).
Test-ride the scooter and check the O
with the HDS pocket tester.
Is the DTC 21-1 indicated?
