2. TP Sensor Input Voltage Inspection
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect the sensor unit 5P (Black) connector.
Turn the ignition switch ON and engine stop
switch " ".
Measure the voltage between the sensor unit 5P
(Black) connector of the wire harness side.
CONNECTION:Yellow/Red (+) – Green/Orange(–)
STANDARD: 4.75 – 5.25 V
Is the voltage within 4.75 – 5.25 V?
YES – GO TO STEP 4.
NO – GO TO STEP 3.
3. TP Sensor Input Line Inspection
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Connect the ECM test harness to ECM connector
(page 6-14).
Turn the ignition switch ON and engine stop
switch " ".
Measure the voltage at the test harness termi-
nals.
Connection: A6 (+) – A4(–)
STANDARD: 4.75 – 5.25 V
Is the voltage within 4.75 – 5.25 V?
YES – • Open circuit in Yellow/Red wire.
• Open circuit in Green/Orange wire.
NO – Replace the ECM with new one, and
recheck; refer to Key Registration Proce-
dures (page 23-4)
4. TP Sensor Output Line Inspection
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Check the continuity between the sensor unit 5P
(Black) connector terminal of the wire harness
side and the test harness terminal.
Connection: A5 – White/Red
Is there continuity?
YES – GO TO STEP 5.
NO – Open circuit in White/Red wire
