CODE NO.51 EGR SYSTEM (FAULTY EGR SYSTEM)
Check EGR system for operation referring to "EGR SYS-
TEM INSPECTION" in this section.
Is it in good condition?
Check vacuum hose, EGR valve and EGR pressure trans-
ducer referring to "EGR SYSTEM INSPECTION" in this sec-
tion.
Are they in good condition?
Check solenoid vacuum valve.
Is it in good condition?
D "R/Y" wire open,
D "R/B" wire open,
D "R/Y" wire shorted to ground or power circuit,
D Poor solenoid vacuum valve coupler connection or
D Poor A4 connection.
If wire and connection are OK, substitute a known-good
ECM (PCM) and recheck.
NOTE:
Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform final check, referring to "FINAL CHECK" in this
section to confirm that the trouble has been corrected.
