TROUBLESHOOTING (DTC P0443)
STEP
1 Was "ENGINE DIAG. FLOW TABLE" performed?
2 Check EVAP canister purge system for operation
referring to "EVAP Canister Purge System Inspec-
tion" check.
Is check result satisfactory?
3 Check EVAP canister purge valve for resistance
referring to "EVAP Canister Purge Valve Inspec-
tion" and its circuit check.
Is resistance as specified?
Valve OFF
Blow
air
ACTION
EVAP CANISTER PURGE SYSTEM INSPECTION
1) Prepare to operate EVAP canister purge valve as follows.
a) Connect SUZUKI scan tool to DLC with ignition switch OFF
b) Turn ignition switch ON, clear DTC and select "MISC TEST"
2) Check purge valve for operation and vacuum passage for clog
Valve ON
when valve is switched ON and OFF by using SUZUKI scan
tool.
Blow
Valve OFF: When blowing into hose "A", air should not come

Valve ON: When blowing into hose "A", air should come out of
If check result is not described, check vacuum hoses, purge valve,
wire harness and connections.
YES
Go to Step 2.
Intermittent trouble or

Check for intermittent
