19) Remove A/C compressor from compressor bracket with
hoses still attached.
NOTE:
Suspend removed compressor at a place free from any
possible damage during removal and installation of en-
gine assembly.
20) Install lifting device.
21) Remove mounting member from front member and suspen-
sion frame.
22) Remove engine left mounting from body.
23) Remove engine right mounting from right mounting bracket.
24) Disconnect P/S oil pump from bracket and remove low pres-
sure return pipe clamps from body.
If mounting bolts of P/S oil pump cannot be removed, remove
front torque bush and rear mounting from mounting member
and raise engine by using lifting device and remove bolts.
NOTE:
Suspend removed P/S oil pump at a place free from any
possible damage during removal and installation of en-
gine assembly.
25) Before removing engine with transmission from body, recheck
to make sure all hoses, electric wires and cables are discon-
nected from engine and transmission.
26) Lower engine with transmission from body.
NOTE:
Before lowering engine, to avoid damage to A/C compres-
sor, raise it through clearance made on engine crankshaft
pulley side. At this time, use care so that no excessive
force is applied to hoses.
27) Disconnect transmission from engine, referring to Section 7A
or 7B1.
28) Remove clutch cover and clutch disk, referring to Section 7C1
(M/T).
