TROUBLESHOOTING (DTC P1408)
STEP
1 Was ENGINE DIAG. FLOW TABLE performed?
2 MDP Sensor Signal Check
1) Remove ECM.
2) Check voltage between E91-7 and C20-27 under the
following conditions.
With ignition switch ON
leaving engine OFF
At idling
Is check result as specified?
3 MDP Sensor Check
1) Disconnect connector from MDP sensor.
2) Check for proper connection to MDP sensor at each
terminal.
3) If OK, check MDP sensor for performance referring to
"MDP Sensor Inspection" in this section.
Is check result satisfactory?
ACTION
: 3.9 – 5.0 V
: 1.4 – 2.4 V
YES
Go to Step 2. Go to ENGINE
DIAG. FLOW
TABLE.
Intermittent trouble Go to Step 3.
or faulty ECM.
Check for
intermittent referring
to "Intermittent and
Poor Connection" in
section 0A.
"G", "Or" or "P / G" Replace MDP
circuit open / short. sensor.
If wire and
connections are OK,
substitute a known-
good ECM and
recheck.
