6B-18 ENGINE COOLING
1. Engine under cover (RH)
WATER PUMP BELT TENSION INSPECTION AND
ADJUSTMENT
For this inspection or adjustment, refer to "WATER PUMP BELT
TENSION" in this section.
FOR J18 TYPE ENGINE MODEL
WARNING:
Disconnect negative cable at battery before inspecting
and replacing belt.
INSPECTION
Refer to Section 0B.
REMOVAL
1) Disconnect negative cable at battery.
2) Remove engine under cover (RH).
3) Loosen tensioner by turning the tensioner pulley clockwise.
4) While holding the tensioner and belt loose, remove belt.
INSTALLATION
1) Loosen tensioner by turning the tensioner pulley clockwise.
2) While holding the tensioner, install belt.
NOTE:
Make sure that the belt fits each pulley's groove properly.
3) Install engine under cover.
4) Connect negative cable at battery.
