13) Disconnect following electric wires:
D Injector wire
D CMP sensor coupler
D Ignition coil wire
D TP sensor coupler
D MAF sensor coupler
D lAC valve coupler
D Ground wire from cylinder head
D EVAP canister purge valve coupler
D EGR valve coupler
D Heated oxygen sensor wire
D ECT sensor coupler
D Generator wires
D Starter wires
D Oil pressure switch wire
D P/S pump wire
D A/C magnetic switch wire (M/T)
D Back-up light switch
D Vehicle speed sensor
D Battery negative cable from transmission
D Transmission range switch (A/T)
D Forward clutch revolution sensor (A/T)
D A/T vehicle speed sensor (A/T)
and release above wire harness from clamps.
14) Remove clutch operating cylinder from transmission with hose
still attached (M/T).
NOTE:
Suspend removed clutch operating cylinder at a place
free from any possible damage during removal and instal-
lation of engine assembly.
15) Remove right and left engine under covers.
16) Remove exhaust No.1 pipe.
17) Drain engine and transmission oil.

18) Remove drive shaft joints from differential gear of transmis-
sion.
Refer to Section 4 or 4A (DRIVE SHAFT) for procedure to dis-
connect drive shaft joint.
For engine and transmission removal, it is not necessary to re-
move drive shafts from steering knuckle.
