6-76 ENGINE GENERAL INFORMATION AND DIAGNOSIS
PROCEDURE 016
Hesitation on re-acceleration
Perform DTC check using SUZUKI scan tool.
(Refer to "DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) CHECK".)
If DTC(s) is indicated, go to applicable DTC.
Are the idle speed and anti-stall correctly adjusted?
(Refer to "Idle speed inspection and adjustment"
in section 6E3 and "Injection pump settings:
BOSCH equipment (Non-industrial setting)"
in "Overhaul checking tuning manual".)
Are the injection pump fasteners tightened?
(4 fastening points)
Is the accelerator cable adjusted correctly?
(Refer to "Injection pump settings:
BOSCH equipment (Non-industrial setting)"
in "Overhaul checking tuning manual".)
Is air present in the diesel system?
(Refer to "Procedure 026"
in "All models diesel diagnosis manual".)
Is the damper in good condition?
Is the damping correctly adjusted?
(Refer to "Procedure 039"
in "All models diesel diagnosis manual".)
Is the engine mounting in good condition?
Are the injectors correct and in good condition?
(Refer to "Injector inspection" in section 6E3.)
Is the injection pump static timing correct?
(Refer to "Fuel injection pump static timing
adjustment and checking" in section 6E3.)
Is the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR)
working correctly?
(Refer to "Procedure 044"
in "All models diesel diagnosis manual".)
Remove the injection pump and have it checked by BOSCH dealer.
(Refer to "Fuel injection pump removal and installation" in section 6E3.)

Carry out the necessary adjustments.

Re-tighten the fasteners.
Adjust the accelerator cable.

Eliminate the air leak.
Replace the damper and

Adjust or replace the faulty injectors.
Set the injection pump timing.
Make the necessary repairs.
