DTC P0136 HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (HO2S) CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION
(SENSOR-2)

DTC DETECTING CONDITION AND TROUBLE AREA
DTC DETECTION CONDITION
DTC will set when any one of the following conditions is detected.
D Maximum HO2S voltage is higher than 2.0 V for 20 sec.
D Maximum HO2S voltage is less than 0.35 V for 8 min.
D Minimum HO2S voltage is higher than 2.5 V while fuel is cut for
0.16 sec. and then engine is running at idle speed for 8 sec.

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
WARNING:
D When performing a road test, select a place where there is no traffic or possibility of a traffic acci-
dent and be very careful during testing to avoid occurrence of an accident.
D Road test should be carried out with 2 persons, a driver and a tester, on a level road.
NOTE:
Check to make sure that the following conditions are satisfied when using this DTC CONFIRMATION PRO-
CEDURE.
D Intake air temp.: –75C (17.45F) or higher
D Altitude (barometric pressure): 2400m, 8000 ft or less (560 mmHg 75 kPa or more)
