1. Engine RH mounting bracket
ENGINE MECHANICAL (J18 TYPE ENGINE) 6A3-63
6) Install engine RH mounting bracket.
Tighten bracket bolts to specified Torque.
Tightening Torque
(a): 55 N·m (5.5 kg-m, 40.0 lb-ft)
7) Install exhaust manifold stiffener.
8) Install P/S oil pump bracket.
9) Install P/S oil pump and generator to P/S oil pump bracket.
10) Install camshafts and valve lash adjuster Refer to item "CAM-
SHAFTS AND VALVE LASH ADJUSTERS" in this section for
installation.
11) Install 1st timing chain.
Refer to item "1ST TIMING CHAIN AND CHAIN TENSIONER"
in this section for installation.
12) Install 2nd timing chain.
Refer to item "2ND TIMING CHAIN AND CHAIN TENSIONER"
in this section for installation.
13) Install timing chain cover.
Refer to item "TIMING CHAIN COVER" in this section for
installation.
14) Reverse removal procedure for installation.
15) Adjust accelerator cable play.
Refer to Section 6E2.
16) Check to ensure that all removed parts are back in place.
Reinstall any necessary parts which have not been reinstalled.
17) Refill engine with engine oil by referring to item "ENGINE OIL
CHANGE" in Section 0B.
18) Refill cooling system referring to Section 6B.
19) Connect negative cable at battery.
20) Check ignition timing and adjust as necessary by referring to
Section 6F2.
21) Verify that there is no fuel leakage, water leakage, oil leakage
and exhaust gas leakage at each connection.
