CODE NO.15 ECT SENSOR (ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR)
CIRCUIT
(HIGH TEMPERATURE INDICATED, SIGNAL VOLTAGE LOW)
Disconnect ECT sensor coupler with ignition switch OFF.
With ignition switch ON, is voltage applied to "Lg/R" wire
terminal of ECT sensor coupler 4V or more?
Check ECT sensor referring to "ECT SENSOR" in this
section.
Is it in good condition?
Intermittent trouble or faulty ECM (PCM).
Recheck referring to "INTERMITTENT AND POOR
CONNECTION" in Section 0A.
NOTE:
Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform final check, referring to "FINAL CHECK" in this section to
confirm that the trouble has been corrected.
