6G-16 CRANKING SYSTEM
4) No-Load Performance Test
a) Connect motor lead wire (switch to motor) (1) to terminal 'M'
(2).
b) Connect battery and ammeter to starter as shown.
c) Check that starter rotates smoothly and steadily with pinion
moving out. Check that ammeter indicates specified current.
Specified current: 90 A MAX. at 11 V (between terminal
'B' (3) and starter body)
