The illustration shows LH steering vehicle.
And RH steering vehicle is symmetrical.
INTERMITTENT CIRCUIT
INSPECTION
1) Check that wiper motor operates with the wiper switch at low
position, and return to original position with the wiper switch
turned OFF.
2) Disconnect negative cable at battery.
3) Disable air bag system. Refer to DISABLILNG AIR BAG SYS-
TEM in Section 10B.
4) Pull out intermittent timer (1) and disconnect coupler, and con-
nect negative cable at battery.
5) Check that the voltage and resistance between following termi-
nals are specifications.
Terminals
When ignition switch is in
OFF.
G51-2 and
ground
When ignition switch is in
ON.
G51-6 and
ground
G51-8 and
ground
When ignition switch is in
ON and wiper switch is in
OFF.
G51-9 and
ground
When ignition switch is in
ON and wiper switch is in
intermittent position.
If check result is not satisfactory, repair.
REFERENCE:
The wiper motor operates the wiper arms at an interval of
approximately 6 seconds per one operation at low speed.
6) After intermittent lead wire coupler is connected and intermittent
timer is installed, enable air bag system. Refer to ENABLING
AIR BAG SYSTEM in Section 10B.
