FUEL SYSTEM IPGM-FI)
SUB FUEL TANK/FUEL PUMP
INSPECTION
Turn the ignition switch ON, engine stop switch "0 "
and confi rm that the f uel pu mp ope rates for a few
seconds.
If th e fuel pump does not operate, inspect as Iot-
lows:
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Pull up Ihe rubber boot and disconnect the fue l
pump 2P (Black) connector.
Tu rn the ignition switch ON, engine stop switch "Oft
and rnaasure the voltage between the terminals.
Con nect io n: Violet
(+) -
Green (- )
The re shou ld be battery vo ltage fo r a few seconds .
If th ere is battery voltage. replace t he sub fuel l ank
assembly.
Jf there is no battery voltage, inspect t he following:
- open circuit in Vio let wire and/or Green wire
- fuse
fue l pump relay (page 6-38)
- engine stop relay (page 6-52 )
engine stop switch (pag e 23-7)
bank angle sensor (page
6·51)
pe M (page 6-53)
REMOVAL

• Do not d isassem ble the sub fuel tank ,

- fuel v apor return hose
- fuel hose
