REPLACEMENT/AIR BLEEDING
NOT E:
• W hen f ill ing t he system w it h a coolant, place t he
vehicle on a f lat. lev el su rface .
Remove th e steering cove r (page 3-5).
Drain the coolant from the syste m by removing th e
drain bo lt and sealing wa sh er on the wate r pump,
and th e rad iator cap .
Rei nstall th e d rain bo lt with a new sealing washe r
securely.
Disco nn ect the sip hon hose from the reserve tank
and drain the reserv e cool ant .
Em pty t he coolant, rem ove t he reserv e ta nk cap and
rinse th e inside of t he reserve t ank with wate r.
Reconnect the sip hon hose.
FilIlhe syste m w it h t he reco m mended co olant up to
th e filler neck.
Bleed ai r f ro m t he system as fo llo ws:
1. Shift t he t ran sm issio n into neut ral. Sta n t he
eng ine and let it id le fo r 2 - 3 m inutes.
2. Snap t he thronle 3 - 4 t imes to ble ed ai r t ro m t he
syste m.
3. St op t he eng ine and add coo lant u p to the fille r
neck.
4. Install th e radiato r cap.
Fill the reserv e tank to t he u pper level li ne and
install t he t ank cap .
