Mil Circuit Inspection - Honda 2006 TRX680FA Service Manual

FUEL SYSTEM (PGM-FI)
MIL CIRCUIT INSPECTION
If the engine can be started but the MIL does not
come on with the ignition switch ON and engine
stop switch "0", check as follows:
Check the various functions of the combination
meter.
- If they do not function, check the combination
meter power input line (page 23-8).
- If they function properly, check as follows:
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect the peM 33P (Gray) connector.

Ground the White/blue (B19) wire terminal of the

wire harness side connector with a jumper wire.
Turn the ignition switch ON and engine stop switch
"0", the MIL should come on.
- If the MIL comes on, replace the
peM.
- If the MIL does not come on, check for open cir-
cuit in the White/blue wire between the combina-
tion meter and
peM.
If the wire is OK, replace the combination meter.
