FINAL GEAR CASE DISASSEMBLY
loosen the cover bolls in a crisscross pattern in sev-
eral ste ps and rem ove t hem.
Pry
the
cover at the p ry ing poi nts us ing a scre w -
driver and remove the case cover .
Remove t he D-ring.
REAR DRIVING MECHANISM
COVER
Remove the ring gear and shims.
BEARING INSPECTION
Turn the inn er race of each bearin g i n the g ear case
an d case cove r wi th yo ur fing er. The bear ings
sho uld t urn smoothly and q uietl y. A lso chec k t hat
the bearing o uter race fits l ig ht ly in th e case and
cover.
