Remove th e lett engi ne side co ver (page 3·17).
Disconnect the ECT sensor 2P (81ackl co nnecto r.
Tu rn the ignition sw it ch ON and check the tempera -
turn indicator.
• If the ind icat or co mes o n, then g oes off, check
th e

• 11 the indicato r co mes on and stay s on, discon-
nect the connect or from the EDT sensor and
check the te mperatu re indic ato r.
- If t he indicator goes off, check the EDT sensor
(page 23-15).
- If the indicator stays on , check for sha n cir cuit
in t he W hite and Green /red wire o n EeT sensor
wi re o r Yellow and Green /red wi re on EDT
sensor .
