Apply engine oil 1 0 new bea rings.
Drive the bearings in with the marks facing up ,

CRANKCASE ASSEMBLY
Befo re install ing t he front crankcase cover, make
sure th e gear side su rfaces (C1 and M 1 gears) of the
cou ntersha ft and mainshaft are flush.
Clean thA fr o nt and rear crankcase ma ting su rtsces
t ho ro ug hly. being careful not to d am age them.
Blow through the oil passages in the crankcases
wi t h comp ressed air .
COCIt new O-ri ngs with engine oil and insta ll t hem
int o the joint cotter qroovcs. Install the o il joint col -
lar into the crankcase.
